Winning the millions???
The lottery was at 200 million last week.
So what would you do if you came into an unlimited source of money? Just quickly consider it, what are your first thoughts? I think this says a lot about what we're doing, where we're going, who we are. And then, after a day, reconsider your thoughts... hone your BEing, and see what evolves : )
In some ways, if I continue to type, the experiment is mute for you. My words will alter your thoughts... so stop reading : ) Come back and finish this blog later.
I already did the work, you're cheating! Really, stop reading here...
I know you didn't!
So yesterday, Shante thought to herself, first college... any college anywhere (for herself)... then helping kids in Africa or India, the rest goes to them. Today, she's thought through that she'd want to help some people she knows with their challenges.
Nyasha refused to play the game, didn't have a thought, said it would never happen and it wasn't worth pondering (hmmm, a little weak in the manifestation world there).
Eric started with trips and houses in different places, summering in New Zealand and Alaska. Then he went to creating work for people in an impoverished area of the state (where he lived as a child), making a large corporation that could bring up the standards for that region. I don't think he will have changed today, since this was a thought he brought up weeks ago as well.
I was quick to leap into paying off stuff for people I know, the Gathering Grove business, Kwami's office space, friend's student loans, friend's mortgages... my own mortgage as well... although it is kinda not that far from done anyhow. Then I jumped to things like guaranteeing all of the scouts full college educations, that junk. And, if you know me, you know I would have no interest in keeping any of the money (poor Eric)... so it would go out to children's concepts probably... or then, maybe support in spiritual development of others (a retreat center or something).
And then today, how does that change? What does this mean about me? Today, I realized there is something about me that wants to take away the pain, remove the challenge. Is that really a gift to people? Would that really alter the course of existence for the better? I wonder. Challenge and pain seem to be the catalysts for incredible growth. Luckily, it's hard to live without that dynamic duo. We can strive endlessly, pour money endlessly over stuff, but still there is illness and death, still there is emotional angst, still the tensions of disagreement would rock our world. Money can't solve those things, even if it can help reduce them.
Perhaps my last thought was the best thought. Maybe what there is to be done is right in front of us all along. Money might buy a building, pay a staff, create a peaceful meditative environment. But, perhaps... getting through the illusion and to Reality is all that matters.

Help

First of all if I won, I would probably not tell anyone. If I did, I would all of a sudden have family that LOVES me and friends coming out from all over the place. So I would want to remain anonymous. SEcondly, I would quit my job. It is a great source of unhappiness so quitting would go a long way to healing. Then I might open a business - a thrift store perhaps? and hired the clients I worked with to work in this thriftstore. The ones who need job coaches would have them and I would hire a team of people to to the daily operations and watch over the clients and job coaches. All the money would go to the people working there. I would not need it.
Then I would decide where I want to live and move. This would take alot of care and consideration because feeling safe is a challenge for me. Once I have moved, I would love to open a Gethering Grove of my own. Similar anyway. Don’t worry, I won’t be a competitor. :)
Then I would make sure to donate some money to Pesados safehaven. Although it is true what Michele says about giving gifts to people, animals need our help and should have it. I might also donate to PAWS. There is a woman between Everett and Snohomish that does many many animal rescues and she is also an advocate for poeple with disabilities so I would like to anonymously donate to her.
Then I would sock the money away and slowly use it to help those around me who need help and they wouldn’t even know I was helping them.
And I would be working in my new business and if people wanted to know how I could afford it, I would say I inherited a little bit of money and invested it in my business.
For myself, I would pay for more therapy so I could get better faster and therefore be able to help more people and I would love to have a personal chef who could cook me healthy meals and help me change my eating patterns. That would be awesome. I need a chef like Oprah. LOL
well…if I won that, then i’d BE rich in yet just ANOTHER way.
but…would i then BE better off
than i am right NOW?
Omg… the way the email came on yours, Debby, I didn’t even know there was more… I had thought it was the first paragraph alone. I’ll have to remember to alway click on the email and check now… I think you’re such an asset to the world now, and that putting money in your hands would just give you yet another way to give : ) Not better than now, but different than now. Very thought filled stuff! Wow! : ) (Notice how many people are being quiet ‘cause they want a Lexus and a pool and servants, hee hee hee… hey, don’t be shy… there’s something God there too).
And Rich, you’re golden now… The Eternal has you so dang wrapped that there isn’t a way to be “better off”! And you too are already sharing your wealth with the world.
oooo, oooo, oooo….
does that mean that i get to KEEP all the money then???
could you imagine just how destructive it could tempt one into BEcoming, or the temptations that would present themselves all over the place should one DARE travel THAT path?
no thanx
the thought’s interesting, perhaps thought provoking even
but
i choose THIS, right here, right now, the way it already IS.
Yep, all in the moment! : )
If God hands you the money, you will know what to do… and you’ll do it. I have complete faith.
I read Rich’s last comment and Donald Trump pops in my head. LOL
hmmmmm…..now how SHOULD i take that last one there, Debby???
Hmmmm???????
Your comment about destruction made me think of Donald Trump and how having money can make someone go all wrong. LOL
thank you so much for clearing that up for me, Debby. i got a tad concerned that somehow, in some way, i had somehow gone to BEing a Donald Trump sorta’ guy, which doesn’t sit all that well with me. WHEW!!!!
I would use the money to help uplift humanity through the arts, film, etc.
I would help those in need. And be generous with my friends and family.
Hey Rock… glad to see ya jump on! What a wonderful gift, the arts and film!!! Thanks for bringing in that element… because there is nothing that is sooo “expressive” as that… and we can’t forget how important unfolding these gifts is to our Eternal uniqueness. Anyway, welcome… : )
I would first pay off my whole entire familys debt. By my parents a even bigger house. Buy a ton of real estate and many other things. Investing to have a roi.
If I won the lottery, I would donate some to charity. Pay off my entire tuition in college. Give my niece and nephew all of the money they would need for a college fund. Find a family in need of money, and anonymously give them anything they needed. I would also travel the world.
Although I have no chance to win the lottery you mentioned (since I am an international student), thinking about that even a while makes you feel different. I am thinking like Katie. I would save some of that money probably 2 million dollars (if we think that there will be no tax) and then distribute the rest to the poor.
I believe that more money than you need brings nothing but sorrow. Then, the very first thing I would suggest to the person you will win the lottery would be “Get rid of the excess amount”.
I would go to college anywhere the heck I like, save the rest of the money, let it grow, retire early, buy a motorcycle, and see the country. When I got home, I would write and draw a graphic novel about it. That would be fun.
i would help the poor ,give to charity, help young men ad woman into college ,some of my college touition , pay off bills and go to music school!! oh,nd also start helping people buy buying clothes for the light house mission!
Alright all you powerful, wonderful people… next step, live this life! So I recommend Wayne Dyer to get you started. He has wonderful, sweet, inspirational videos, and has written tons of books too. He’s rich now, but is still doing the work of the Eternal happily, and wants you to know the secrets. If wealth is your pursuit, then do it!
Now, the reality is that there are a ton of different things that make us RICH beyond our dreams (let’s not let that go to our friend Mr. Duck’s head, like we would LOVE being him if that was possible), and any of them are exactly what you can build with personal intention, attention, and the Eternal in combination. Have fun with that!
If you’re not where you wish to be, you might try Dyers “Inspiration” first : )
Love ya all for sharing your spectacular goals!!!
To dream is our only chance with the future
to all of those who took part in this fun blog: you ARE who you BElieve yourself to BE. BEcome ALL that YOU are meant to BE!!!!
Wow, I wish I would have seen this blog sooner! I am so thrilled that people think about things like this - it is very thought provoking.
If I had 200 million dollars, I would pay of my parent’s debt and send my little sister Rosie to Juliard to study dance - she’s fabulous.
I would invest in gold and silver - these two things are not affected by the economy. Their value never goes down. That means I would always have money to give away - we need to be wise with out finances and invest in assets that will continue to produce more finances, instead of merely spending the money we have on items that are liabilities.
I would travel the world and adopt a little boy or girl from every country I visted.
I would set up my dream: The International Institute for the Fine Arts: an institution that focuses on fivemain areas: material and graphic arts, music composition and performance, the written arts, dance, and health and wellness. The goal of this instituation will be to move students from the ages of 10 to 17 through a rigorous training program in which they will receive exellarated education readying them for graduate level studies in the fine arts.
I would give more money to Compassion International.
I would create college funds for my children.
I really thought this was awful “light and airy” for one of my blogs… and look how serious and hopeful and real you all made it… Kudos!
I hope everyone wins some money. Good things will get done. :)
I just found this blog - don’t know how I missed it. I am glad you put in the second caution, because I really was reading on. I’m going now. I’ll be back in a couple days. :)
