World of Illusion
I've kinda played the Christian gig for a while now, probably because the Shack is based from that perspective. But today I'm facing a world of illusion. Jesus mentioned it, definitely, but overall, Christianity doesn't ponder there. People can argue with me... but my current interpretation is that American Christianity is a less mature religion. I definitely believe that Jesus knew what he was talking about, but that the message is poorly conveyed by the churches of our nation.
Hinduism and Buddhism are so strongly in the world of illusion that it is sometimes tricky to relate. One has to grasp that there isn't anything to hold onto before s/he can comprehend those spiritual paths in the first place.
I was considering Joel Goldsmith's words from "The New Horizon" (an essay; you can google it). I've really been enjoying the facets of my personal illusion, the people, the experiences, the spiritual interpretations. But I'm in dangerous water. The "good" is as illusory as the "not so good". My work is to wake up and focus on Reality! But the game is so attractive.
Here's the way Goldsmith says it: "The first glimpse of Reality comes with the recognition and realization of the fact that all temporal conditions and experiences are products of self hypnotism." Ouch. Back to work. I know this to be true, but I don't KNOW it in the sense of revelation. Frustrating!
Step by step, the physical world drops away, and the spiritual world rises. It is like being part of the most glorious mutual sunrise and sunset of all times. But it's impossible to witness with my eyes shut tight. Does anyone have a good optometrist?

Manifestation? I don’t know how I can see, I only know I can now and I am fulfilled! How many times have I tried that one? Too many to count. I just finished Embraced by the Light - OMG, she describes the Universe so beautifully - all the love. Hearing the flowers sing - watching them grow - being a flower herself! I so want that! I don’t even know what it is and it sounds like what I want. On the other hand, I do not think I could do the coming back thing, so maybe I should just be grateful that I only get to hear it second hand. The author talks about getting real depressed when she first came back to this physical plane - I don’t know how she stood it.
Something that has been coming up A LOT is suicide and how bad that is for our spiritual growth. I’m even hearing it from the short ones and Boston mentioned how sad spirits who had suicided were from her ability to intuit. Can you blog on that?
Love you!
Suicide is a heavy topic, and my views are not appreciated by those who know more than I do… so I just don’t know! I’m at a loss with this whole Oneness factor. How can suicide be wrong or bad when wrong and bad don’t exist exactly? All is God, right. Of everything that comes, we glorify the Eternal, yes? I worry myself with that because when the dark is DARK in this sucked through the straw adventure, I don’t want to give myself an excuse to go past the “what’s the point?” thinking and into the “end it all” thinking. What would you want to see in a blog? This comment won’t be marked, so I won’t have people hitting the title for advice on the subject… A blog on it would have to be sensitive to the reality that readers could be ponderers.
Judy, I was talking to a person on another site about “ascension experiences”. My point is they are simply understanding to the degree that the veil is lifted. One steps out of the universe. This is quite factually the case, not just spiritual ha ha. But it is quite different from being here! After his experience he wasn’t happy to be back and has for years tried to find a way to return to that ascension. I don’t blame him.
However the game is this universe. We can step out through complete understanding and love but will get slammed back very soon because THE ONE, who we are in total, is still in the game. I don’t see the likelihood of getting out for a long time. But considerable improvement should be possible and that means higher understanding and love, and likely less damn serious games.
Suicides discover they aren’t dead! That could be kind of depressing if you really wanted out and even dying didn’t accomplish it.
Suffering, is a must in order to UP our standards of what love is - and does for the cause of goodness…..righteousness!
It is a quality worth investing into and for because it’s what made us come alive in the first place!
So in other wards….look highly into what ails you and you shall find that the past, present and future, all worthy into one, is now ready for a new exciting journeys ahead.
And be thankful for it…’cause it’s what’s going to teach you to be a divine outcome…(a leader), sooner or later…..and it may as well be now, cause this is where we are all based upon.
BECAUSE, as mum’s the word has said elsewhere …
NOT to run away from ones own stupidity does get easier on
that long climb to the top of that mountain…… [& IT] get’s sunnier too!
… and by the way Just THINK on Jesus as Jesus NOT Jesus as CHRIST !
Mirror images are truly what we should be aware of….Love your video clip, Michael. How truly Much we stand and are rooted, are indeed the reflections of our selves.
….and may Douglas Harding, rest in sweet loving peace:)
Amen
intertesting….ALL of you! ‘definitely want to get my hands on a copy of this book, Michael. Michele, doesn’t Joel also have a book on Spiritual Interpretation of Scripture? Is that of help here (for me specifically, michele)? Rita….just an intersting thought to ponder when you brought up the mirror there: is the mirror a direct inverted view of ourselves, or is it other’s views of us that are truly inverted? Hmmm….
it’s so cool how we go from our own personal conversations via emails to these blogs, are they not, michele. I do So adhor you, my friend!
Gracias, mutual!
Oh wow… I could probably reply to each thought above… luckily they stand on their own.
Ilove Kevin’s point on the suicide thing… that since we’re Eternal, what a shocker when there is no escape, eh?…
I guess I also am very aware that folks are none too happy at times to be stuck with the earth world when they’ve been “Enlightened” to Reality. It’s something not to fear, but to be aware of… so that the transition BACK is less about depression and more about getting right to work on the BEing what has been revealed.
And Joel Goldsmith… I’m no expert. But, apparently, he KNEW God well, and wrote prolifically, 20-30 books. Yep, has one on just about all topics. He’s very searchable on the net, and his official site has all of his books available, and even audios. Kwami handed me the Infinite Way as the opening. I have Spiritual Healing, maybe another or two. His essay prose is more to the point than the books, so his style doesn’t meet me simply. He’s like a swirling dervish in my mind : ) I’m trying to muster the thought of maybe simplifying and shortening his works for today’s world. What a mission!
Good Blog Michele and great comments everyone.
BTW, I have a great optometrist. :)
Out of curiosity, michele, if you were to blog on suicide, how would you appraoch that? Would you look at the human part of complete hopelessness and despair when they decide to make this choice or would you look from the spiritual perspective? I am sure there are millions of other perspectives, I am just curious.
Both. Maybe this needs to be… I’m requesting help though…
M - you know my mind skips back and forth. When I think of the journey and the sucked through the straw stuff and realize how hard it is for me, then I talk with Chelsea and see her struggle right down to her bones, I worry about the short ones, especially when I hear their words. What I am most concerned with on it is that it seems the more i nthe spirit a person gets, the more dangerous for this earth bound stuff we have, so I want the short ones to really GET that suicide is not an option. Pretty much like Kevin said, there simply is not a way to escape what we signed up for long ago and the only way out is through. Does that help? I actually got to share that I’ve concluded I couldn’t kill myself - it wouldn’t work, so my proposed solution was to STEAL a shopping cart from Red Apple, load it up and head down highway 92. How’s that for escaping reality? Fortunately, I opted for spending the day in my PJs instead and am still a semi-functioning member of society - at least I’m here when Chels gets home in the afternoon! :)
Wow…great blog! ONEderFULL observations by everyONE.
There is a lot to said about this blog, but in the end it all comes down to the concept of ‘separation’. The thought that WE are separate from anyONE is what can be called the ‘illusion.’ And in that ‘illusion’ is were pain and suffering is experienced.
With that said, a person who feels like killing them self (separating ONE’s SELF from the rest of ITSELF) is an ‘illusion’ inside of an ‘illusion’. With that said, the experience that is explained in the book, “Embraced By the Light’, is also an ‘illusion’ inside of the ‘illusion’. Neither one will lead you to the Truth, but both will show you that that experience is indeed not the Truth, and, in so doing, it does bring you closer to the realization of what Truth is. And what is the truth. The truth is that Heaven on Earth is HERE and NOW. And if you are not NOW experiencing it, then you are fooling yourself - you are ‘seeing’ and ‘illusion’.
Another way to talk about the ‘illusion’ is to say that you misperceive what is real, and, therefore, you see what is not there. Let me explain this. Let take a cup as an example. Either picture a cup, or better yet, go get a cup and put it in front of you. Now…do you see a cup? or are you merely reviewing your past experiences of picking p a cup?…felling the rim pf a cup against your lips, having breakfast as so on. Are not your aesthetic reactions to the cup based on your past experiences of the cup? How else would you know whether or not the kind of cup will break if you drop it? What do you know about this cup except what you learned in the past? You would have no idea what this cup is, except for your past learning. Do you, then really see it?
The above example gives us a example of our misperceptions, which are always based on the past ( ‘illusion’ ). When we let go of all past experiences and all thoughts, (this is because all thought is based on the past) we then begin to ‘see’ the world with our real eyes (our hearts, our feelings). Once this is accomplished, we then see, much like the experiences that are brought forth in the book, “Embraced By the Light,” that we are indeed everyTHING. When we can hold this KNOWING within us as we go throughout our days, we will then RE-MEMBER (put back together) the Truth of WHO and WHAT WE ARE - GOD. This is what ONENESS is all about!
This is the best way that I can sum this all up. This excerpt comes from a book called, “Journey Beyond Words” and is written by Brent Haskell.
Seeing the Truth:
“Everything you see, everthing you experience is a creation of your self. If God is in your mind, (and I tell you that HE is indeed in your mind, because you are HIM), and if you are God, then everything you see and experience is, likewise, a creation of God. This must be so. For God is all the exists. There is no opposite to God. There CAN BE no opposite to God. There can be no conflict within God. And I tell you, there can be no conflict in you. This is because, truly, You are God. And God is in your mind.”
“You can imagine many things. For you do have the power to imagine. You can even imagine what seems to be conflict. You can imagine that you are upset. You can imagine that you are angry. While, in truth, you are not, and cannot be. Within all that you experience is God. Within everything you see is the experience of you Oneness with God. And when you see things differently, that is what you will see, and that is what you will experience (but in Truth, you are just fooling yourself).”
“To the extent that it is not clear to you, that what you experience always arises for your Oneness with God, from you Oneness with all things, then what you are experiencing is an illusion. The experience also must be a product of your thoughts. It therefore has no meaning. Furthermore, it doesn’t even really exist (this is why it is called and ‘illusion’).”
“So as I speak to you, and tell you, “your thoughts, your concepts of what you are, doesn’t really exist,” allow yourself to feel something. For the feeling, in back of the thoughts, in back of the words, is what touches reality. When you hear these words which suggest that your thoughts (about what you are) have no meaning, if you can begin to feel even a hint of peace, or release, or freedom, then I tell you, you have advanced a thousand years toward experiencing the truth of what you are.”
If anything that I or Brent Haskell has said means anything to you, it is only because you have gone beyond the words and felt something within you that you have RE-MEMBERED (put back together). The more you do this the more complete you will feel. It is not about adding anything to you, but about real-eyes-ing the Truth of WHAT YOU ARE. Complete, whole, GOD.
I now leave you all with this last excerpt from Brent Haskell’s book, “Journey Beyond Words.”
Holiness:
Pause for a moment, and imagine that you are God. Imagine that you are the Creator of All That Is. Imagine that you are the source, the giver of all Life, that nothing happens without you, without your choice, without your wish, without your thought. Just try to imagine that you are God. And in your imagining ask yourself, what would I need? What could I possibly ask of another being, to make me more complete than I am? Ask yourself, could anything, or anyone, else deprive me of anything? If you were God, and you wanted to experience something, what would you do? I Believe your answer must be, you would simply thing it within your mind and it would be.
Then try to imagine, if you were God, that something, or someone, could oppose you, could be your opposite. You would realize, ah, I am the source of All That Is; there can be no opposite. Even the thought of an opposite wouldn’t really exist. For I would BE God.
Then try to imagine, it you were God, needing someone else to love you. And remember, as God, you are the source, you are the completion, you ate the completeness of All That Is.
Then imagine, perhaps a bit differently, if you were God, wanting to extend, wanting to give, wanting to send out what you are, to take that which truly is your Self, realizing it as Love, and extending it to a universe of your own creation. That could be joy; that could be fullness; for that would be the extension and expansion of your Self.
If you were God, extending your Self could not make you greater. For you already are All That Is. You would not NEED to extend your Self (which we are calling Love) out of simply joy, the joy of experience, the joy of life.
Try for a moment, if you can, to imagine, beyond your thinking, what it would be like to be God. Where you are complete, where you are whole, where it is impossible to find anything, because you know that you are the source. You ARE All That Is.
Then imagine what it might be like to extend your Self (Love) into the creation of what you might call things, which are thoughts or beings which exist WITHIN you, and yet THROUGH you, and as PART OF you, and which can never be separate from that which IS you. Try for this moment, if you can, to imagine that you are God…
You are One with All That is. God is your source, but you are One with that source. The completeness that is God is you. God cannot need anything outside of Him. And although you can, in your thinking, imagine yourself having needs, in truth, there is nothing that could complete you more than you are already completed. For you are the Son of God.
You are the God of your life.
Of your own life, YOU ARE All That Is. Nothing in this life can exist outside of your Self. Of all that you experience there is nothing that is not WITHIN you. Being the God of your life, if you desire, if you choose to experience anything, just as with God Himself, All you need do is create it within your mind, AND IT IS. Hear me well. What I am describing to you is exactly the way your life is. There exists no thing IN your life which is not your own creation. There is no imagined ABSENCE of any thing in your life which is not, likewise, by your own creation.
Of your life, you are God. Hear me well. Of your life, you ARE GOD. And your goal in this life is to come to the point where it could not occur to your thinking that something could happen, that you could experience anything other than by your own willful choice. You are very holy. The power of God is expressing Itself through you with every thought and with every felling. Every relationship with your self, which is a relationship with God. For you are, indeed, God.
Of your life, you are God. You are, indeed, very holy. And you holiness envelops everything you see. The mere fact that you see at all is an expression of your holiness. were not very holy, were you not the God of your creation, your life would be a void.
Your holiness blesses the world. And you, as the Son of God, are blessed in return. Everything you choose to experience is of God; and you are blessed by whatever you choose. You are blessed by your pain. Because, as the God of your life, you would not have chosen your pain unless it brought you great joy. Hear me well. You would not have chosen your pain unless it brought you great joy.
And what brings you pain? the thoughts that seem to tell you it is pain. That is all. For as we have said, it is your thoughts, creations of the past, that deprive you of experiencing this moment, and your godliness. It is your thoughts that separate you from that which IS. It is your thoughts that separate you from your SELF. Truly, without your thoughts, that which you have called your pain, and which you have created for your joy, would, indeed, BE your joy.
Be still and know that I am God (quiet your mind and RE-MEMBER your holiness). —Psalm 46:10
The Kingdom of God is at hand (within reach - WITHIN YOU).
Perfect… Not a word out of place. I am so thankful, to you, and to God for giving us you (and this!). : )
With regard to the cup-I give a talk where I use an apple with a little hole in it to demonstrate the same thing. Would you take a bite? No? You can’t tell just by seeing from your viewpoint whether you are turning your back on a juicyhappiness or avoiding a wormy surprise.
It is interesting and instructiveto see how people are going down the same road.
something to be said for the old time religions… it gave people hope. you can find arguments or agreements depending on the mirror you choose to see reality through… in the end all we have is ourselves and if you can live with what you
see.
:) I think you enjoy my blog.
You have have a look if you like. It’s called taking a religion, dating christianity and blind faith.
Namaste, truely,
Ashley
Well said nightphoenix. That reminds me of a poem my grandpa carried in his wallet with him until the day he died. He actually clipped it out of Dear Abby:
Man In The Mirror
This reminded me very much of the book I’m reading right now. It’s called The Power of Now. You may have heard of it or the author, Eckart Tolle for one of his newest books, A New Earth. If none of this rings a bell, I recommend it if you are open to escaping pain and suffering for that is the main basis for both books.
Just remember Michele…you created me! So it is me who needs to thank you for your ONEderFULL creation.
Namaste’
*deep bow*

Brian, thanks for those words. M - Journey Beyond Words, does that look like a possibility for our next book? I wish I can hold the words with me as I go about my day :)
This is a collaboration title, and authoring stuff is in the theme of thinking today. OK, people, shall we do this together? Perhaps a book of spiritual experiences that would touch those looking for comfort in this growth (the hard parts) and also some kind of sharing of the moments that have been beyond delight. I’m thinking it would be cool if everyone did it in their own writing/speaking styles. Let me know if you want to be in on it, and I’m SERIOUS!
NO better exemplary video animation of the ‘separation’ & ‘illusion’ that Nara-Narayana has posted comment about above, can BE experienced, than by taking time to watch the WHOLE of the YouTube attachment
” Only when you can hold both the strong and the weak in your awareness can the Whole of the dual come together ”
WOW! Ok, so I dont think anyone has actually watched the video linked above or they would have commented on it. It was a total trip. I am still trying to fully comprehend it so need more time to ponder it. It was actually like a acid trip I had once in the 70’s. Can I write that here? Sorry, just did. Anyway, if you haven’t watched it, DO. I look forward to checking out your whole page Michael but will have to do it when I have more time. Thanks again for the link. D
I don’t know D2, I watched it, but I don’t really get it. I’m open for your comments. I also read the blog Michael linked to and I liked that too.
